Climbing & Standing & Walking, Oh My!

It was only a few short weeks ago that Maddie started crawling. Well, now the precocious little thing has decided that crawling is too old school. Instead of crawling, Maddie's decided that standing is more her speed - and she's not afraid to test out her new-found standing skills in the best of all possible places ... the raised brick fireplace of the family home.

On any given day, at any given time, Madeleine can likely be found climbing, standing, and then attempting to walk near, around, or on her favorite brick fireplace. "I love it, I really do. I don't have a lot of time for exercise, but this really gets my heart racing. It's really invigorating," explains Madeleine's invigorated, and pale-faced Dad.

The Great Grands & Aunt Diane

Madeleine recently had a big visit from her Great Grandparents, Rose & Bill, and Maddie's Great Aunt Diane. The Great Grands & Aunt Diane got to spend a few wonderful days with Maddie, and even took a trip to Calistoga to enjoy the hot springs together. We're still not sure how they managed to leave, what with how addictively cute Madeleine is ... but we know they'll be back!

Nanna's Dental Dreams Come True

In an obvious nod to pleasing, and thereby securing future love, affection, and - most importantly - gifts from her Nanna, Madeleine has started a regular routine of brushing her two tiny teethies every evening before bed. And, what's even more shocking, she seems to enjoy it!

"It's like the toothbrush's been coated in a combination of breast milk and some sort of heavenly ambrosia. She just won't take it out of her mouth sometimes." reports Madeleine's dumbfounded dad. "I never wanted to brush my teeth as a kid, and now with the gift of one little toothbrush, somehow her Nanna's already got Maddie hooked on brushing. At this pace, she's gonna be doing fluoride shots, and disclosure tablets before her first birthday."
