First Came Friends, Then Came Marriage, Now There's A Baby In A Baby Carriage

Back in the fall of 1993, began a friendship that has spanned eleven years, three cities, two states, a few different sets of boy/girlfriends, more than a few hairstyles, and an assortment of career paths. A friendship that has gotten stronger every year since that first meeting in the dorms of U.C. Santa Cruz. A friendship that shows no signs of slowing down - and shows every sign of going on forever.

It was freshman year of college when Sahru met Joe. They lived only a few doors apart from each other that year; a coincidence that would prove to be divine fortune for the two youngsters starting their lives away from home. It was a night like any other in the dorms of Porter College, when Joe - who'd had more than a little to drink - decided to ask the nice woman down the hall, who always seemed to have a smile at the ready for him, if she'd mind shaving half of his hair off. Yes, it was from those simple, average, everyday beginnings that this friendship began. And, over the many years since those humble beginnings, Sahru & Joe's relationship has taken many forms - from friends, to housemates, to confidantes, to friends with benefits for a bit, then quickly to couple, fiances, spouses and now they're soon-to-be parents.

It's been a wonderful eleven years, and Sahru & Joe are excitedly looking forward to what the future has in store - with a new baby here, and all the changes that come with having a new little person in the family. And, to all of you who've been or have become a part of their lives, the happy couple would like to pass on to you their love, warmth, affection and, most importantly, a reminder to make room in your schedules - 'cause you better plan on doing some baby sitting soon!
